Types of Hackers

We are determined by what we do and what we do determine who we are.

In this world there are many peoples with different goals but what they need is the same. They all need success at the end of their work. The only thing that differs is how they get to it (through good or bad), it is you who makes that choice because there are hackers who have different goals which may be good or bad, so choose wisely. Here, we are going to discuss the types of hackers commonly known and what they are like. They are the ones listed below.

Script kiddie: they are peoples who uses developed programs, scripts and tools prepared by real hackers. This guys are the one who doesn’t know how a system work but capable of exploiting and hacking it with available tools that exists. This guys are the guys who doesn’t know much but copy too much from the real hacker. I wouldn’t prefer you to be a script kiddie because this guy’s show off too much without knowing much.

White Hats: they are the good guys who hack for security purposes and protect the government from being exploited and hacked by the bad guys (black hats). Thus the main goal the white hats is protecting their government, fixing flaws and improving the security. They are officially employed by organizations and governments to protect and fix security. So white hat hackers notifies the owners to fix the breach before it can be taken advantage.

Black Hats: are hackers that compromises the security and the system of a computer without a permission from the authorized party, these types of hackers have malicious intentions, maintaining knowledge of the vulnerabilities and exploits for their private purposes. They are the bad guys who steal money or valuable data or infect a virus on to a system. Black hat hackers are our enemies who gave the world of hacking a bad reputation. They use their hacking skill for illegal purposes with bad intentions (goals).

Grey Hats: are a skilled and professional hackers who sometimes will act legal and some other time illegal. They actually do not hack for personal advantages or malicious intentions but they may or may not commit a crime. They belong to the neutral zone. So, they are hackers who does not have malicious intentions but still they like breaking into the third party system just for thrill and fun. Perhaps fooling like this can land you in jail.

Hactivists: they are hackers who uses their hacking skills for protesting and fighting against injustice activities. These hackers have their own targets. They are vigilantes, the dark knights of the universe. So they may or may not carry legal or illegal activities. The best and famous group of hactivists in the world are the anonymous.
